Review: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

A couple of years ago all I used was Liz Earle Daily Essentials, but after 8 months or so, I realised that I had combination skin, and those 3 products weren’t really helping. So I stopped using Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and I moved on to Keihls. However, recently I repurchased the Cleanse & Polish, and I fell back in love! I did get the limited edition one, but it is the same product just in different packaging, bigger quantity and smells different! So here is a little review, incase any of you wanted to buy it, but weren’t sure whether it was good or not!

I prefer this limited edition version as apposed to the original, because the scent is so refreshing yet calming at the same time. It’s also 50 ml bigger, so it will last so much longer. The 2 scents are pink pepper and mint, I have never heard of any product using those two scents, but they smell so good together. The cleanser is good for all skin types and any age.

It removes all makeup so well, even mascara, which is usually the hardest thing, I find, to remove. It thoroughly and noticeably cleans the skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and clean. I only need one pump to massage into my whole face, so I won’t be running out of it any time soon! It has natural ingredients in it, which moisturise and soothe the skin.

There are 2 phases:

Phase 1 Cleansing: gently massage the cream onto dry skin, all over your face. Massage in circular motions from the centre outwards.

Phase 2 Polishing: rinse the muslin cloth in lukewarm water, then wring it out before polishing off the cream. Use a clean section for each part of the face, rinse the cloth thoroughly during cleansing. Finish by splashing your face with cool water.

The final part, splashing your face with cool water, has really improved my skin. I use this instead of a toner, and it has closed my pores like nothing else.

The muslin cloth removes dead skin cells, and it removes the rest of the makeup that may still be on there. I really like the muslin cloth, because you can obviously use it with any cleanser and it still has the same effect. You don’t ever have to use an exfoliating scrub again!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and found it useful somehow! Have you ever tried any Liz Earle products?
