Sometimes we can get wrapped up in a frenzy of jealousy and constant want for materialistic things. The other week, I stopped for a minute and just thought about how lucky I am for what I have, and stopped thinking about what I want. It is so important to be grateful for what you have and stop thinking about what you want.
Recently, I have really been trying to appreciate the amazing things in my life instead of constantly focusing on the negative things. It has been hard, trying to completely block out what upsets me, or what I really want to happen or have, it’s so difficult. I’ve been completely focused on what is going well instead of what isn’t.
We are so lucky to live the life we do; sometimes I just think about people who aren’t as fortunate as me and how grateful they are for the smallest things, that I take for granted. I really recommend that you watch this video, it explains so much and it melted my heart.
I suggest that you write down, every night, 3 things that you are grateful for, from that day. It has really made me a lot happier and I know that you will be happier too, so try it out, after 2 weeks it should make you feel a lot happier!
